Subject: Fw: Gwennap Pit - Pentecost Sunday 27th May 2012.

They are trying to make Pentecost a big Churches Together get together at Gwennap Pit.

We planned to go this year but decided against because of the weather.

Please read message below picture

Gwennap Pit

Dear Friends - I know that there were a number of afternoon Pentecost events and services arranged by CTC Groups on Sunday all over our County.  Most, if not all had to revert to their wet weather alternative venues and continue in the dry - glad to hear all went well and CTC in Bodmin doubled its collection which will be a great surprise to the recipients, the local band.

Gwennap Pit, was no exception, as the picture above shows, it remained empty, as the service had to be held in Redruth Methodist Church.  The service was lively with the White River youth singers and band plus hearty singing from 600 plus Christians.

Through the Bishop's challenging address, in which he recognised that this year at Pentecost, Gwennap Pit was empty, he challenged us all to read our bibles more regularly,  to work more closely together as Christians and to share our faith with those who have yet to hear of the love of God.

So we now have 11 months to plan for the return to Gwennap Pit on Pentecost Sunday 27th May 2012.   Please, please make it a date for your personal diary and your future CTC Group agendas - lets pledge to return next year at 3pm Sunday 27th May 2012 and have the service that we wanted this year.  Let's really FILL Gwennap Pit with 1000 plus Christians from all our denominations without exception.  I believe we can do it - the "wet" run proves it.  Let's get as many young people to be with us - let them be moved by the Holy Spirit, just as we want to be.    No spiritual revival can happen without our energy and input - we all have an essential part to play.   There will be other opportunities throughout the year for us as Christians to come together, but let's really make Gwennap Pit Pentecost Service special next year.  Are you up for it?

With God's help - we can and we will.
