Mens Breakfast Thursday 09:30hr 31st May 2012

It started for me at 07:55hrs but David Stroud was there before me. Procedure followed ie hot water on, watch off, wash hands.

Again this month John Powell Supplied the Black Pudding, but as I had shopped in Aldi's I got potato waffles not hash browns. We had cereals and melon  to start, a drink of apple or orange if desired together with tea and coffee. The melon was because Peter & Mathew asked for something other than grapefruit as it's not permitted with their medication, Stewart cut it into slices some did go but I'll not get two next month.

Bacon under the grill sausages also. Open tins of baked beans and tomatoes (not tomatoes next month as they are not popular with most.) Tried to fry the potato waffles doesn't work well. Mushrooms rinsed and fried in a saucepan and kept in cereal bowls in the bottom of the oven. After the Bacon was done, I used the grill for the Black Pudding and potato waffles, this did well and they looked good. Only choice you had with sausages this month was  none or well done! Big Ben helped me dish up it worked best with plating up three at a time Dave getting the orders and three eggs frying in my large iron frying pan.

We have some one giving us a talk after breakfast. John Powell volunteers to help clean up, as he's not keen to be asked to give a talk! This month we had Linda Clarkson a Woman!  Talking about her last visit to Africa and how her work went, we donated money from the Men's Breakfast for her work one month.

We had 15, a good number taking breakfast. the donations for Street Pastors amounted to 47. Your prayers for Mathew Powell as he's not well, he still made the effort and struggled out for breakfast. but Dad took him home shortly after Linda finished. Thanks to Ken Bouch as he stayed till 12:00hrs cleaning up with John who came back after seeing Mathew home.

I hope you too can join us on the last Thursday of the month 26th July 2012.
