Twinning 25th Anniversary Bénodet visit to Torpoint

It was after a very disappointing Thursday night when the the Roscoff ferry had a strike. Our  Bénodet visitors were not there for arranged invitation by Sir John & Lady Mary Carew Pole and the National Trust to visit to Antony house on Friday afternoon. Above you can see we had the glorious fortune that Saturday morning, it was a superb crisp autumn morning, and the Bénodet and Torpoint Twinning Association were then able to accept the invitation, we gathered there by 10:30hrs.

After this group photo, Nick Stokes of the National Trust divide us into two groups, the first was shown around the house by him, the other walked round the Gardens. Then after a cream tea, which was enjoyed by all, and provided by Sir John and the National Trust we swapped over.

There was a magnificent view from the Terrace at the back of the house looking down to the River Lynher. So it's was with thanks to Sir John & Lady Mary Carew Pole and the National Trust the Torpoint Twinning were at last able to say that we have had our French guest shown around the most magnificent home and grounds in Torpoint.
