'Torpoint Lady Singers'

In concert with

'A Travers Chants'

from

Saturday 11th October 2008

St. James Church Torpoint

In January 1987, 8 Ladies, all living in Torpoint met and decided to form a Choir. They named themselves

“The Torpoint Lady Singers”

19 years later the number of members has increased to 32, some ladies travelling from other villages and towns, which is a tribute to the expertise and patience of our Musical Director and the exceptional quality of our accompanist.

Over the years the choir has raised over £40,000 for various charities. The choir serves two purposes; to enhance the joy of singing and love of music and to bring enjoyment to other people and, at the same time, raising money for worthwhile causes.

  Director of Music:      Sylvia Fraser

Accompanist TLS:       Sue WestWell
