Friday 10th of October found various choir members waiting at the Brittany Ferry terminal in Plymouth awaiting the arrival of our friends from Quimper. This was the culmination of many months of planning for the Breton choirs' return visit to us.  For those of us that had volunteered to act as hosts it was an anxious time. Would our guests speak any English as most of us would admit to not speaking or understanding French.. We need not have worried where there is a will there is a way!!

Saturday dawned and we could not believe our luck, the sun was shining in a clear blue sky.  Most of Saturday was spent in or around the Rame Peninsula, a successful lunch at The Edgcumbe Arms was followed  by a walk in Mount Edgcumbe Park.

At four the two choirs met at St.James Church for a rehearsal

We then had a wonderful buffet and sing along (thanks to Lynn) at The Council Chambers.

We were presented with a beautiful plaque as a commemoration of the visit.

Sunday was another glorious day. After a visit for shopping in Plymouth, 'A Travers Chants'  had a coach tour around Dartmoor before leaving on the evening ferry back to Roscoff.

Michel our guest said (in perfect English) it had been an unforgettable week-end and we could not but agree. Formidable!!!
